General information

Applications will close at 5pm (AEST), Friday 14 November 2025.

This application is for Round 1 of the Honouring Our Veterans Grants Program - Minor Capital Works with funding up to $75,000 (excluding GST) available per project.

NOTE - the department will prioritise projects where the applicant makes a cash co-contribution of at least 10 per cent toward the project.

Projects funded under this round of Capital Works grants must be delivered and acquitted between 6 March 2026 and 30 June 2028.

Before starting your application:

Read the Honouring Our Veterans Grants Program - Capital Works guidelines.

Prepare the required supporting documentation to include:

  • the most recent audited financial statement or profit and loss statement for the organisation (must be less than two years old from the date of this application)
  • detailed quote(s) for all expenditure items in the application over $500 (only the preferred quote for each service/supply needs to be uploaded)
  • details of any heritage exemptions (if applicable)
  • details of the organisation's financial contribution to the project, including cash and funding from other sources 
  • letters of support for the project (dated within the last six months)
  • all other supporting documents as outlined in the guidelines.

  • incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • applicants may submit applications to all streams of the Honouring Our Veterans Grants Program, provided each application is for a distinct and separate project.
  • when applying for funding, please ensure that you choose the most appropriate grant stream for your project.
  • projects funded under the Honouring Our Veterans Grants Program will not receive additional funding for the same project or subsequent stages of the same project in future funding rounds.
  • applications may include project management fees up to $5,000 per project (excluding GST).
  • written quotes must be provided with your application for all items over $500 (excluding GST).
  • funding will be contingent on the infrastructure being used by the applicant or eligible third party for at least two years after the funded work program is completed.
  • if questions appear shaded, they will not require a response.

Applicant organisation - eligibility requirements

Eligibility requirements for an organsiation to apply for funding through the Honouring Our Veterans Grants Program - Capital Works - 2025 are outlined in the guidelines.

'Applicant' includes an auspice organisation applying for funding on behalf of another group or organisation E.g., a non-incorporated entity
